The Lord's Favor

Luke 4:14-21
¹⁴ Then Jesus returned to Galilee, filled with the Holy Spirit’s power. Reports about him spread quickly through the whole region. ¹⁵ He taught regularly in their synagogues and was praised by everyone. ¹⁶ When he came to the village of Nazareth, his boyhood home, he went as usual to the synagogue on the Sabbath and stood up to read the Scriptures. ¹⁷ The scroll of Isaiah the prophet was handed to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where this was written:
¹⁸ “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor.He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, ¹⁹ and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.” ²⁰ He rolled up the scroll, handed it back to the attendant, and sat down. All eyes in the synagogue looked at him intently. ²¹ Then he began to speak to them. “The Scripture you’ve just heard has been fulfilled this very day!”

Poor in spirit, this is who I preach the Good News to.
Remember you are but one beggar showing other beggars where the banquet is. I am the feast.
Feast on Me daily so that your life will be rich and full.
Your healing takes time as I stitch My Redemption into your wounds and make you whole and complete in Me.
I proclaim your freedom.
It is an open invitation and offer, not something I impose upon you.
Accept the freedom I give and live within My Freedom.
The blindness I speak of is spiritual blindness.
With Me, living in your heart, the veil is lifted so that you can be a mirror to brightly reflect My glory.
But even if smoke comes to hide Me from your sight, know that I will never leave you nor forsake you.
Do not mistake the Enemy's form of brokenness for the way I break you.
My brokenness is to have you yield your will and submit to Me and My will.
It is My desire to bend your stiff knees and your heart, not to bring total emotional wreckage.
My desire is for you to take on My yoke so that you may have an effective, abundant life, not to be so broken that you cannot function.
Be alert and watch for this false brokenness, for the Enemy prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
The year of My Favor is now.
Embrace My Salvation and Freedom now.
I am not bound by time as you are.
A day is like a thousand years and a thousand years are as a day.
I am patient for your sake.
My desire is for ALL to come to repentance so none will perish.
You are a part of that promise.
I am counting on you and all believers to do your part.
Go, sow and reap a harvest.
Give generously of your time, energy, resources, love, goodness, forgiveness, and prayer.
Do it now.
When you are comfortable, reach out and make those who are uncomfortable comfortable.
Stretch and grow your character not your comfort.
When you accepted me you died to yourself so I could live in you.
Now live like I live in you.
Own it.

Doing good things

Ephesians 2:8-10
God saved you by his special favor when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God's masterpiece. He created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

Always remember the joy of your salvation, but don't stop there.
Your joy is made complete in Me.
Walk with Me. Daily.
I have had plans for you since before you were in your mother's womb.
You are fearfully and wonderfully made.
You are My Masterpiece.
When you received your salvation as a gift from Me, I made you new.
I gave you secondbirth, spiritual birth, so that the old could be redeemed and the new be lived.
I am counting on you to do the good things I have planned for you since the beginning of time.
Trust Me to show you, then follow Me.
My plans are to give you a hope and a future.
I call you to share that hope and future with others.
You alone can do what I have gifted you to do.
My plans for all my children cannot be fulfilled without your active trust and participation.
I love you.
Walk in my daily sufficient grace.
Trust Me.
Love Me.
Love others.
My daughter, I love you with an everlasting love.
Now go forth and share that love with everyone.
I created you for this time, this place, for just such a time as this.
Be still and know Me, and you will trust that I am with you always.
Never weary in doing good for my special favor lies with you.
You are a new creation wholly and dearly loved.

Your becoming

James 1: 2-4
... whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy. For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything."

Strong in character.
Ready for anything.
That is where I am leading and guiding you.
In life, find joy, my joy.
Bring your troubles to Me, and let Me carry you.
Trust Me to bring you through everything...
troubles and triumphs,
failures and victories.
Listen
Hear
Obey
Follow
Trust
for that is faith.
Know that I am with you always.
I will never leave you nor forsake you.
You are my beloved.
I grow your character so that you may influence and draw others to Me.
I want to set you apart so that you are holy as I Am holy.
Just remember that when trouble comes I am there to help you and to grow you!
I love you, and I am in your becoming.
So persist and endure and your joy will be complete in Me.

The likeness of Jesus

John 14:30-31
I don't have much more time to talk to you, because the prince of this world approaches. He has no power over me, but I will do what the Father requires of me, so that the world will know that I love the Father. Come let's be going.

Obedience.
Belief is lived out in obedience.
Loving Me means doing what I ask.
It is a hard and narrow path, but so much easier than going your own way.
For my yoke is light and my burden is easy.
Peace lines the path of obedience.
Chaos and frustration lines the path of disobedience.
You cannot say you have faith nor does the world believe you when you do not follow My Path.
The prince of this world holds no power over My Son- His power came in His love for Me and doing what I asked.
His obedience showed the world His love for Me.
Believers obey and the obedient believe.
It is not enough to want to obey.
Allow Me to transform you into a person who naturally obeys.
Know Me.
Let My grace fill you with the inward character of Christ so that His Love reigns in your life.
Your witness is only as powerful as you allow My Power to transform you into the likeness of My Son.
So, come let's be going.
