Women Of Faith 2011!

The theme of the tour is Imagine with the verse being Ephesians 3:20, "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us..." Before each leader came up to speak one of the questions they were asked is, "What is the best thing you can imagine?" For me the imagine tour was a time for me to remember how good God is, to remember what God has done for me and how He cares for me personally, specifically and deeply.

Psalm 91:4
He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.

This verse really hit me hard as I realized that His faithfulness is not dependent on my faithlessness. His promises are my protection.

It seemed as if God specially designed the songs that were sung just for me! So many have special meaning to me and I felt enveloped in God's arms as each one played out and I remembered how much God loves me!

Blessings- the part about sleepless nights hit home since I did not sleep on Friday night!

During a break I looked back at a blog I wrote in September 2010. One of the verses I meditated on was Isaiah 43:18-19... "Forget the former things, do not dwell on the past..." which reminded me of the great thing God had done for me in providing a new job in January. These verses had come up in December and January as I moved to this new job but I had forgotten that God prepared me for this in September... long before I had the thought of a new job! Again, God was saying, "Kim, remember, I have never left you!"

I need to remember to give my soul time to catch up to my body!

Another theme that really hit me was that God can take the shattered pieces of my life and turn them into beauty. Which of course reminded me of a song... and this verse...

Isaiah 61:2-4

2 to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the LORD
for the display of his splendor.

4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins
and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities
that have been devastated for generations.

So I left with 5 books and a DVD and I have read 2 books already. Stumbling into Grace by Lisa Harper and Heaven is for real... both really great reads.

I have started on a 3rd book by Sheila Walsh entitled, The Shelter of God's Promises. Page 9 had the following verses that resonated within my heart as God speaking to me...
2 Corinthians 1:20-22
20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. 21 Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, 22 set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

So the plan is to go to Women of Faith next year and get as many girlfriends to come with me as possible!
